Facebook’s Clonee Data Centre in the suburbs of Dublin is packed with cutting-edge technology, making it one of the most advanced, efficient, and sustainable data centers in the world. It features the latest server, storage, and network designs developed through the Open Computer Project. The new 31,000 m2 facility is powered by 100% renewable energy, making good use of Ireland’s abundant wind resources.
Nautilus Controls help develop the building’s BMS controls system, field programming, and graphics and functional testing. Our product-of-choice was the Honeywell-Alerton BACtalk system.
The property features two 2,369 m2 (25,500 ft2) buildings and houses eight data halls, linked by an administration building. A third data hall is currently under construction and two further blocks are being planned.
